Nearly a century ago, my great grandfather was a carpenter and home builder in Quincy, Illinois. My grandfather was a general contractor and land developer; and to this day, my father continues to renovate homes. So, I guess you could say construction is in my blood.
I’ve been working on construction job sites since I was a kid, honing my skills and learning about all aspects of the building industry, from foundations to finishing. I graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology. While in college, I was invited to be part of a small group of students who traveled to Vladimir, Russia, to help build the first American home in that country. Since 1990, I’ve been working in the Bloomington/Normal home building industry.
But I eventually decided that, much like my father and grandfathers before me, I wanted to own my own business. So, I founded LandMark Construction and Renovations (LCR), LLC.

Josh grew up helping his father on the weekends in his wood shop and doing home renovations. In high school he took part in the building and trade program, which teaches youths the knowledge of home construction from start to finish. After high school, Josh choose a career in the construction industry focusing on finish carpentry and cabinetry making. He owned his own business in that field prior to focusing on project management.
One of the quotes that motivates Josh is one by Tony Gaskins, “If you don’t build your dream someone will hire you to help build theirs”.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, running, and building furniture. He also enjoys volunteering with his sons PTO and in the Bloomington-Normal community.
Dan was born and raised in Normal on a family farm which he still operates to this day with his father. From an early age he was taught by his father and grandfather that through hard work, dedication, and integrity there is no job or task too large. Dan brings that same philosophy with him to work each and every day. For nearly 20 years, he has been involved in commercial & residential facility management (holding both a CFM & FMP designation), new construction design & development, remodeling, and project planning & oversight. Dan loves the process of transformation through construction and has always enjoyed the unique challenges that each project brings to the table. One of his favorite scriptures talks about the construction and transformation project that constantly happens in our lives, Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Dan has been married to his college sweetheart, Sarah, for over 18 years. They have 3 amazing kids – Aubree, Alyssa, and Aiden – and a pug, Gracie. In his spare time, you will find him shuttling kids to sporting events, singing, farming, or aspiring (unsuccessfully) to be a chef.
Britt has been drawing and designing house plans since 1994. At LCR, he works on drafting and designing plans as well as estimating projects. Britt most enjoys the design process, where he can put his years of drafting skills and creativity to work for our customers.
Britt is always eager to learn new things, keeping in mind his favorite quote that "the road to success is always under construction".
In his free time, Britt likes to spend time with his family and friends. He is also a big fan of music and travels far and wide to attend heavy metal concerts and festivals each year. One of Britt's hobbies is to collect parts for the assembly of old school BMX bicycles. As a child of the 1980's, he loves the memories this hobby brings back to life.
John was raised in a small town in Illinois and began working alongside his father and grandfather at an early age. They taught him the value of hard work and how to enjoy the challenge of a difficult project. John has worked in residential and commercial construction, both new construction and remodeling, and everything from framing to finish carpentry.
John enjoys the challenge of remodling and especially projects that bring about major change. One of his favorite quotes says "If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?" (John Wooden), and that is the kind of work ethic John brings to the team.
In his free time, John enjoys spening time with his family, coaching baseball, playing guitar, and shooting pool.
Raised in Bloomington, Illinois, Stephanie graduated from ISU with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design in 2016. Upon graduation, she started her own interior design business, Stephanie Foor Interiors, focusing on residential design. In 2018, Stephanie met Mark, and thus began a great partnership of Stephanie assisting with the design and finishes of many LandMark projects.
Stephanie is motivated to create beautiful spaces for clients out of a desire to, in a small way, reflect the creativity and beauty of God, the ultimate Creator of beauty.
When Stephanie is not working on creating beautiful homes for clients, she loves to spend time with her husband and baby boy, travel, and work on projects for her own home.
Susan’s architectural career began as a designer/draftsperson for an international design/build firm in New York City. After several years of big city life, Susan returned to her Central Illinois roots and has since had the opportunity to work as a designer, draftsperson and project manager for both real estate development firms and design/build firms.
Although working in both the commercial and residential construction fields throughout her career, Susan’s passion will always remain residential architectural design. She enjoys working closely with homeowners to help them design their custom home, renovation or addition. Her goal with every homeowner is to have the finished project exceed their expectations.
When not at the office, Susan and her husband enjoy doing volunteer work together and daydreaming about, planning for and taking trips to Ireland.
Becky is a lifelong resident of the Bloomington-Normal area where she attended Illinois State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. Later, Becky also became a licensed real estate agent. She enjoys all aspects of the construction, renovation, and the design world. Her years of experience from working in the home design and construction field bring ample knowledge to help support the team here at LandMark. She takes pride in being a part of bringing beautiful and functional ideas to life.
One of Becky’s favorite design quotes by Robin Siegerman is “Design is about making people happy, either functionally, aesthetically, or emotionally.”
When not working, Becky, loves to spend her time with her husband, three adult children, and three rescue dogs (two of them are one-eyed pugs). She also enjoys volunteering, walking/hiking, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends.
Stephen has grown up helping his father and brothers in the workshop. He has always had a passion for working with his hands and also loves working with people. Since staring at LandMark, he has particularly enjoyed seeing custom projects come to life.
Some of his motivation comes from this quote by Winston Churchill “We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us.”
When Stephen is not working alongside our amazing team, he is working on finishing his senior year of high school and likes to spend time with his twelve siblings (Amanda, Kenny, Jessica, Abram, Noah, Kathleen, Theo, Mabel, Nick, Maggie, Knox, and Clive).
Ambrose grew up learning construction work from his father. He has worked in the construction/remodeling industry for 3 years now. After recently moving to Illinois, he started his job at LandMark Construction and Renovations in an effort to expand his capabilities and become a more valuable worker.
One thing he loves about working at LandMark is the positive environment it brings to his life. As Ambrose seeks to learn more and expand his knowledge, he values Proverbs 4:6 which says, "Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you. Love her and she will watch over you."
LCR Values...Relationships, Passion, Service and Excellence
The foundation of LCR is relationships. Relationships with both the clients we serve and the business associates who help us fulfill our promises. Because LCR consistently treats clients and their families, their pets, and their homes with respect and care while delivering desired results, we often receive hugs instead of handshakes at the end of a project.
Identifying and delivering solutions to construction and remodeling challenges isn’t only our job, it’s our passion. It’s what drives us, it’s what gets us out of bed in the mornings and occasionally keeps us awake at night.
An extraordinary client experience throughout the project is paramount. Our goal is to provide outstanding service through professionalism, integrity and open lines of communication – both listening to your needs and desires and providing updates throughout the project.
LCR intentionally uses quality materials and craftsmanship, innovative designs to suit your lifestyle and attention to detail to deliver the home of your dreams. Our knowledge of the construction industry ensures a project’s scale and complexity is never an obstacle. Our reputation for completing projects on time and on budget serves as a tangible sign of our exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence.
